Man Arrested After Destroying Neighbors' Property in Rage Over Breakup
A 44-year-old man was arrested after destroying neighbors' property along Morupong Road in Chachoengsao's Muang District early September 18, claiming emotional distress over his girlfriend's rejection and new relationship.
At 4:45 a.m. on September 18, residents in Muang District, Chachoengsao Province contacted Muang Chachoengsao Police Station after a man went on a rampage destroying property and belongings along Morupong Road near Pitulatharachrangserit Temple. Police arrested the suspect, identified as Narong, age 44, who was in a highly agitated state throughout the incident.
Narong explained that he went to his girlfriend's home but she refused to let him in because she had found a new partner, leaving him without a place to stay. He had been sleeping at the temple before losing control of his emotions and destroying nearby residents' property. He claimed that damaging objects was at least better than harming people.
Residents expressed concern that the incident could have been even more dangerous if it had occurred during school hours when children were traveling to class. They called on police to take legal action against individuals displaying such erratic and destructive behavior.
