A box-type pickup truck slammed into the middle of a traffic-light intersection, injuring four people. The driver claimed a tyre burst caused him to lose control, striking two parked cars before damaging motorcycles waiting for the light. The crash occurred on October 14, 2026, reported to the Chiang Khan Nakorn Police Station in Lampang Province. Rescue teams from Lampang Hospital and the Lampang Rescue Association arrived at the scene. Six vehicles were damaged—three cars and three motorcycles—with four injured, two women and two men, including a motorcyclist who suffered a broken leg. Preliminary investigation showed the pickup was the cause, swerving into the parked cars before hitting the motorcycles. The driver said he was driving normally when the tyre suddenly burst, causing the vehicle to veer and hit a parked car, with one motorcycle striking the middle of the truck, though its direction is unknown. Police will question all involved and review nearby CCTV footage to determine the exact cause and sequence of events.
