Deputy Education Minister Akkanat Kan-kitinun chaired the closing ceremony of Thailand's 2026 National Bridge Championship, Youth Doubles Division, awarding the royal trophy to champions on September 6, 2026. The event took place at the Teachers Council Assembly Hall, attended by Thai Bridge Association President Chachoy Saubhonnabinich, competition organizers, and athletes.
Deputy Minister Akkanat highlighted that bridge is a sport promoting analytical thinking, strategic planning, and logical reasoning—skills vital for children and youth development. He emphasized alignment with modern education approaches that aim to develop learners with knowledge, skills, and qualities for future life.
"I encourage all athletes to apply the experience and skills gained from competition to continue learning, living well, and developing themselves," Akkanat said. "Grow into quality people and become important forces driving the nation forward."
The competition ran September 5–6, 2026, at the Teachers Council Assembly Hall. The closing ceremony saw Deputy Minister Akkanat present royal trophies in five youth categories: Mini Bridge ages 12 and under (Division 1), Mini Bridge ages 15 and under (Division 1), Bridge ages 12 and under (Division 1), Bridge ages 15 and under (Division 1), and Bridge ages 18 and under (Division 1).
