Thailand Donates 360,000 Milk Cartons to Flood Relief
Thailand's Ministry of Agriculture donated 360,000 milk cartons and four patrol vessels to flood relief efforts, with initial distribution targeting 40,000 residents in Bangkok's Lad Krabang district.
The Ministry of Agriculture and the Dairy Promotion Organization of Thailand have jointly donated 360,000 UHT milk cartons from the Thai-Danish Red Cow brand to the Thai Red Cross Volunteer Foundation to help flood victims across the country. Deputy Agriculture Minister Watcharapol Khaokhram presented the donation to foundation leadership, with support from ministry officials and the director of the Dairy Promotion Organization of Thailand. The donation comprises 10,000 cases of milk to provide sustenance and encouragement to flood-affected communities, alongside four fisheries patrol vessels to assist relief operations.
The Thai Red Cross Volunteer Foundation coordinates comprehensive and sustainable flood relief efforts, including prevention, emergency assistance, and recovery support. The foundation acts as a disaster relief center, coordinating with government, private sector, and community partners to minimize losses and aid affected populations in returning to normal life. The initial distribution of Thai-Danish Red Cow milk will be directed to approximately 40,000 residents in the Lad Krabang district of Bangkok who remain impacted by ongoing flooding.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives reaffirmed its commitment to working alongside government agencies, organizations, and foundations to help the public safely navigate this flood crisis.
