Video footage, recorded by a local resident named Mae, shows the deer frantically struggling to survive amid the powerful, turbulent current as it swam and fought to grip the streambed while being continuously carried downstream.
When the incident unfolded, officials and local residents rushed to help the deer, but the fierce and forceful water current made it impossible to approach the animal safely. Fearing for their own safety, rescuers were unable to get close enough to assist. Ultimately, the deer was swept away by the current and disappeared downstream, with no confirmation of whether it managed to reach safety or survive.
Local residents remain concerned and are monitoring the situation. The area is experiencing heavy rainfall and multiple flash floods at present.
