Rach Group announced first-half 2025 results with net profit of 2.628 billion baht and total revenue of 26.015 billion baht, while advancing plans for new power plants to sustain energy portfolio growth. Chief Executive Nithatsarn Worpanpipatana reported EBITDA of 7.62 billion baht for the first six months of 2025. Revenue of 26.015 billion baht came predominantly from power generation: 96 percent or 24.866 billion baht, split between conventional fuel plants at 90 percent or 22.506 billion baht and renewable energy at 10 percent or 2.36 billion baht, with the remaining 4 percent or 1.149 billion baht from other businesses.
During the first half of 2025, the company maintained operational efficiency at its conventional fuel plants while its renewable energy portfolio benefited from wind farms under Rach-Australia Corporation, including Starfish Hill, Mount Emerald, and Collector facilities with increased revenue. Hydropower plants in Laos also contributed higher profit shares from improved water management in the first half.
"In the first half, we tracked renewable energy projects under construction expected to start operations this year—two projects with combined generation capacity of 76.6 megawatts proportionate to our shareholding," the company stated. These include a solar power plant in the Philippines with 71.05 megawatts capacity and a hydropower project in Vietnam with 5.55 megawatts.
Rach Group is also preparing investments in new power plants in Thailand and Indonesia, and seeking opportunities in electricity and energy-related businesses with growth potential.
