Thai Muay Thai fighter Superlek sustained a knee injury during his bout against Russian striker Abdullah Dayakayev at Lumpinee Stadium (Rama Intra) on August 7, ultimately losing in the second round of The Inner Circle 25 event. His trainer and sports scientist Coach Huk Sawikrom Limanon posted an update on Facebook saying, "Superlek needs rest and care to recover from this injury and return in better form. At least today everyone knows Superlek is back, and we will keep fighting—we will not give up." Reports indicate that Superlek's torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) may require 6–12 months of treatment, which could impact his scheduled ONE Championship flyweight title defense against Jonathan Diebitela at ONE Samurai 4 in Japan on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
