Authorities explained that a large number of repeated alert messages were sent through the Thaigov app, originating from the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department (DDPM). The Digital Government Agency (DGA) has temporarily halted the messages from that system since 22:15 on October 3, 2026, and is coordinating with DDPM to investigate and fix the issue. The duplicate alerts were sent only to the same recipients and not forwarded to others, though some may continue to be delivered. DGA apologized for the inconvenience and promised a swift resolution.
