Thai Oil Advances Integrated Community Development
Thai Oil has invested over 170 million baht in community development projects at Laem Chabang Hospital, including a new 55-meter covered walkway connecting the parking lot to the main building to improve patient safety and convenience.

One major collaboration is support for Laem Chabang Hospital, the only state hospital in the area serving residents and workers in the Laem Chabang Industrial Estate, where patient numbers have grown steadily.
From its commitment to improving public health systems, Thai Oil has undertaken a covered walkway project connecting the parking lot to the hospital building to improve convenience, safety, and service quality. This reflects the company's role not only in business but also as a force for social development and improving community life.
The covered walkway project at Laem Chabang Hospital demonstrates strong collaboration between Thai Oil and the hospital to enhance public health services. The company funded the design and construction of a weather-resistant walkway with a sturdy, safe, modern steel structure meeting engineering standards. Spanning approximately 55 meters, the walkway includes electrical lighting throughout, connecting the rear parking lot to the Ao Udom building, which houses the ICU and recovery rooms. The covered walkway enables patients and visitors to access services conveniently and safely in rain and at night.
The project also reflects Thai Oil's commitment to leveraging its expertise for social benefit. Company engineers were involved in structural design, engineering consultation, construction oversight, and project inspection to ensure quality and functionality.
Over several years, Thai Oil has invested approximately 170 million baht in Laem Chabang Hospital development. This includes the five-story Thai Oil Emergency and Trauma Building completed in 2019, a solar power system installed in 2021 to reduce energy costs, environmentally friendly recycled rubber road surface improvements in 2023, and the 2025 covered walkway project to enhance safety and convenience comprehensively.
Thai Oil has also run an oral health promotion and prevention program with the hospital since 2013, valued at approximately 70 million baht, providing dental checks and health education to schoolchildren around the refinery. This has improved youth dental health and enabled better self-care practices.
