Multi-Vehicle Pileup on Nakhon In Road in Nonthaburi
Five vehicles collided in a chain-reaction pileup on Nakhon In Road in Nonthaburi on September 24, when a van and motorcycle crashed, forcing multiple cars to brake suddenly and strike each other.
A multi-vehicle pileup brought traffic to a standstill on Nakhon In Road near the Bang Sai Thong intersection in Bang Krang subdistrict, Muang district, Nonthaburi province, on the evening of September 24. Bang Sri Muang Police Station responded to reports of the collision at 22:30.
Officers found a white Toyota van severely damaged, along with a Honda motorcycle belonging to Peeraphat that was also damaged. A black BMW X1 was struck on both front and rear bumpers. The driver, 57-year-old Wasana Nanueam, a senior military correspondent, escaped injury.
A white Toyota Corolla Cross driven by 29-year-old Phraphatsorn, a model and online clothing livestream seller, was also involved. Phraphatsorn suffered minor injuries.
Wasana explained that she was following a car ahead when it suddenly braked due to a prior collision between a van and motorcycle. Multiple vehicles ahead began braking in succession, forcing her to brake as well. After coming to a stop, another car struck her rear bumper with considerable force, damaging her vehicle, though she remained uninjured.
Phraphatsorn reported that while driving home on the same road and descending from a bridge in the normal lane, she noticed the car ahead suddenly slowing and braking hard. She braked but could not stop in time, later learning that a collision had occurred nearby, causing the chain-reaction pileup.
